Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a form of medicine and treatment modes where optimal conditions are provided to allow the body to heal itself. In western medicine we use pharmaceuticals to create what are generally rapid results, often with numerous side effects.
TCM is slower and uses natural medications and remedies that promote the bodies own healing process. Think of it this way if you had a severe deep cut on an arm you would clean the wound, suture it, bandage it, and allow it to heal before aggressively rehabilitating it. The same is true with stroke and neurological disorders, with TCM, healing must begin to see rapid results in restoration.
Regarding other disorders or disease processes, Traditional Chinese Medicine works with the body to balance it and strengthen the body's own systems that promote health maintenance and healing.
